N.K.O.T.B....muhahaha...they just popped in my mind today...

Yep...New Kids On The Block...many of todays youth or even the ones who were born in the late eighties or early nineties might not know who they are or were....but...my dear kids, they were my favourite boyband ever...I was like 7 years when they were assembled but I think I started listening to them when I was around 8, 9, 10...and oh boy, did I just fall in love with them, specially the babyface Joey McIntyre...oh my goodness...I had to get every single thing that had their faces on...I mean, I had the albums, t-shirts, posters (actually my room was completely decorated with NKOTB-stuff), hats, trousers, pins, jackets, etc. etc. just name it....I dreamed of them, and all we could share in school was who was the best and what song was the best and whos favourite guy is who etc. :D Unfortunately I was never able to get to their concert...going to Helsinki from the small village and without any friends...it couldn't happen...coz my grandmother could not travel with me to see such foolish things :D muhaha...but I had it all in my mind, that if I could go to a concert, I would go somehow to Joe and tell him that I love him and that I wish he could take me with him home or something....muhahaha...crazy me :D But...they ment the world to me at that time.

Now that I think of them at this age...well, I haven't listened to them now and I am not even sure if they exist anymore but geez...they way small kids can get hooked on something...I must have looked crazy back then :D I wish I had a picture to post here when I was wearing all NKOTB...hehe :)...I'll do it later if I find some. :D

I just thought of sharing this now since they just came into my mind now...started thinking how they look like nowadays and how old are they now and if they still sing...(I think they do since I saw some advertisement where they have gone to a tour with Backstreet Boys....those boys were never such a succé in my little heart)..Any of you know who they are or were? Please share some experience or possible of similar crazy stuff when u were kids :D hihi

Finally some facts about my favourite band when I was a kid....and a song...;)

New Kids on the Block (also initialized as NKOTB) are an American boy band from Boston, Massachusetts, assembled in 1984 by producer Maurice Starr. The band consists of brothers Jordanand Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood.

New Kids on the Block enjoyed success in the late 1980s and early 1990s and have sold 80 million records worldwide.^[1] They won two American Music Awards in 1990 for Favorite Pop/Rock Band, Duo, or Group and Favorite Pop/Rock Album.^[2]

After having disbanded in 1994, several attempts were made to get the group back together, all of them unsuccessful. After secretly reuniting in 2007 and recording a new CD, the group released that new album and embarked on a concert tour in 2008. The album, entitled The Block was released on September 2, 2008. New Kids on the Block was enlisted number 16 as one of the Rolling Stone'sTop 25 Teen Idol Breakout Moments.^[3]
