Oh well, it has been now a while since I last visited here and actually started the bloggin, but better late than never, isn't it? :)
Let me start now by telling something small about myself first....
I was born on the 5th of February in 1977 at 21.05 pm here in Stockholm. When I was about 5-6 years old, we moved to Finland with my Mum and my small life was abit hectic when I look at it now. We moved around Finland alot, started my first class in Nastola, Lahti but after few months we moved to north where my grandmother lived. We lived in Pello and Väylänpää (a small village where my grandparents and uncles were living) and then even moved to Kolari for a while, but when my mum went to work in Norway, I stayed with my grandparents and went to a small school there in the village. :)
My last year of comprehensive school was fun - we were only like 4 pupils plus 2 teachers and a chef in that school. :D I consider myself lucky to go to school there.
I went to upper secondary school in Kolari and those were not my best years...I was being teased 'coz of my looks (yep, I was a chubby girl back then)...I'm telling you all, kidz can really be mean to eachother....and the worst part is that teachers didn't quite care back then about the teasing....so, that time left scars on me for a looong time, but now I just see that as part of my life that has brought me up to today, being more stronger person.
Btw, sorry if my english is not perfect but I'm sure you understand most of my writings anyway ;) heh....
So, when my 9th class was over, I moved to Tornio (border to Haparanda, Sweden) with my mum after being apart from her for several years...well not completely apart but not seeing eachother everyday since she was working abroad much and living in another town and since I didn't want to start changing schools anymore so it was best for me to stay with grandparents. :)
I lived in Tornio for like 5 years or something....and after finishing my commercial college there, I moved to Oulu to study to be bachelor of business administration and IT and I managed....in 2002 I was ready and started working in Nokia and later on in Fujitsu Services Oy. I was also volunteering alot with youths during those years - went even to Portugal for a youth camp in 1999. :)
Alot of things happened during my years in Oulu, I met many good friends there and enjoyed the city to the fullest. I still miss it alot and I miss my friends there! I happened also to meet my husbands familymembers there and became friend with them and in the year of 2003 I was lucky to be able to travel to Kenya and meet all the beautiful people there. It was my first time to travel sooo far and oh boy was I excited. :) That is when I met my husband for the first time :)....
After that trip we started communicating with letters alot and phonecalls and next year (2004) I travelled again there with my sister-in-law and her boyfriend that time. We had discussed if we would get married so that we could perhaps start a life together in Finland but I was abit "scared" and unsure about all....well, when we arrived to Nairobi, I found that things had been prepared for us already to get married :D hehe...well, it was shocking at first but I was not forced to anything anyways :) I told that we will see how things go during the 3 weeks stay there and if I feel ok and he feels ok, we go ahead and do it....:D ...aaaaaaand we did it...we went to the magistrate and got married! :D heh....that was in June 25th 2004...
look at us now...8 years have gone and there is nothing I would do differently :)...I have no regrets! :) I love my husband, Phares Wangunyu, and our own small family now! :D We lived in Oulu for 5 years after marriage and then we moved to Tyresö, Stockholm (in 2009) where we are now living. :)
Now I just wish myself and all of my family many more happy years to come! :) <3
